A Not-so Wise Adventure
The night was silent. Nothing but the sound of wind that could threaten to wake a child. Stella and her siblings rested peacefully, hidden safely by the tall grass that loomed over them. The soft calls of a crooning owl with her chick slowly awoke Stella. "What is that noise.." she said groggily, slowly she looked at her siblings. She wanted Mom and Dad with them, but they couldn't if they were to be caught by one of the tribes consequences would be severe. Not only they but their parents would be sentenced to death, her father was only allowed alive by healers in the Kawcis Tribe healers. Anything that carries on Kimio's bloodline, The mate of thy who carries the Great Rulers blood, children or not are condemned to eternal suffering and torture until death takes its toll. Stella shivered at the thought, as long as they stay hidden that won't happen to them. She sighed, it always got boring, being in the same place everyday. But now was the time she could go to Toru's Forest and explore "Sorry dad, but I'm going to disobey some of your words, I don't like staying here.." Stella said silently, laying down completely she began to slither. Mice adventuring in the night scattered away from her as she trailed towards the apple infested forest. The loud screeches of a crow froze Stella. Slowly she turned, her face pale. "Crow.. evil crow.. heart attack crow.." Stella said quickly, sliding away into the deep forest grove. Moonlight shot through the leaves and treetops as owls stared curiously from branches. The sound of water rushing lured Stella towards it like a fish following bait. Toppling and staggering, for what felt like hours Stella collapsed in front of a fair sized fall. It came from a large mountain that reached for the heavens, a large pond of glistening water lay at the bottom. It remained in a small clearing with flowers of many varieties "Wow." Stella said in awe, the gently lapping water reflected stars and midnight clouds from the sky. Somehow, she felt peaceful finally. Like the forest was a place she could feel welcomed in, happy. Stella's eyes became heavy, her heart felt warm with the bright spark of joy. Her body now heavy with exhaustion she slowly collapsed to the midnight grass. Everything around her hazed into blackness, the silent sounds of nature lulled her to sleep, the feeling of seconds passing by in her mind turned into hours in reality. The burning feeling surrounded her "Huh?" Stella forced her eyes open through a burning haze, she could barely see anything. The sound of screams echoed in the air "Wait, what's happening..?" she said. Her heart began to pound from panic, "I can't-" she was cut off by the sound of a falling tree. A familiar scream echoed throughout her mind. The burning haze quickly vanished into inky blackness, the sound of birds chirping and whistling to each other reassured Stella that she was awake. The memory of the dream was difficult to recall but it was there, the warmth, the haze of orange light. "Fire..?" Stella questioned slowly as she looked at the large pond. Her heart dropped "Oh, how long was I asleep!? Chain is going to bust me for this!" Stella said nearly in half shout. Quickly turning Stella rushed along, mice and other surprised creatures moved of ran away. It started to come into her vision, the Burning Fields. Jetting into the tall vegetation of ferns and grass. Stella allowed relief to consume her ~Hopefully.~ Stella thought. Stopping to catch her breath, it was a new day and Stella could tell it was going to be plenty boring. "Stella!" Chain called bounding over to her "Where did you go? When we woke up you were gone!" he said glancing over at their two headed sibling, Atie was to looking about as Ata kept a wary eye on Stella. Chain shot a glare at Stella "You know I have to tell dad, anything that could lead to potential discovery means-" Stella cut him off "I know, I know! It could be dangerous and possibly start something other than just death." she said. Chain was scanning her with a stern glare. "No matter how safe you think you are, you're not, Stella. You never will be. We're not even safe in here!" Chains said and turned away from her walking towards Atie and Ata. She sighed, it wasn't fair. Now to think of it, nothing was far. "Stupid brother.." Stella mumbled as she lay down. The sound of heavy flapping wings neared. ~Of course.. dad is now here..~ Stella thought. Lifting her head as the copper giant neared, though Stella had to admit. She was surprised that her mother was here to, hanging loose around her father's neck like a necklace. "Stella what have I told?" her father asked. His voice was followed with a grumbling growl "Not to go anywhere were we could be discovered.." Stella said softly, her mother staring at her with impressed gaze. "Then why did you go?!" he snapped. Stella's mother stared at him "Goru, there's no need to be so angry with her. She never did get caught now did she? Stella has some potential!" she said returning to gaze to Stella "That doesn't change the fact one of the serpents or snakes could've caught her scent, Astride." Goru said. Shooting a glare at Chain who slowly lowered his head. Goru sighed as Astride slide over to Stella "You're grounded, Stella. two weeks." Stella's eyes widened "Two weeks?! Just for adventuring into Toru's Forest?" Astride looked at Goru. "C'mon Astride. We need to head back before they get suspicious." Stella's mom looked her at, softly nudging her with her snout. "It'll be okay, Sweetie." she said kindly before sliding away towards Massmia camp. Goru spread out his wings, with quick beats he was in air. Flying back to Kawsic camp. "Wow." Atie aid as her sister approached "It's okay Stella. Atie always gets in trouble to!" Ata said hopefully, ignoring Atie's scowl at her.
The Butterfly's Grove
It's only been one week now. Chain was put on duty to watch her while Ata was still trying to cheer her up. Other then that it was still just another boring day, nothing new, nothing different ~Maybe if I could just devise a plan..~ Stella brainstormed. Then it clicked "Hey Ata, Atie!" Stella beckoned they quickly approached. Atie most curious "What is it?" both asked in harmony "Can we go explore..?" Stella whispered to them, Chain stared suspiciously. Atie shot a glare at him as Ata's face lit up "Sure!" she replied silently. The two headed Dranke shared stares. Atie then looked at Chain "Hey, we're going to go show Stella something is that okay?" she questioned staring at him happily. He eyed them for a long moment "Fine, but you have to come back at dusk.." he said slowly and Stella grinned. With a quick turn she would hurry off as her sister trailed after. Stella didn't know what else to do with all the happiness that built up inside of her and so, she would just laugh. Ata and Atie shout out their Glistening black wings, with quick beats they were in air. Ata was in front looking back at Stella now and then, but Stella just glanced away. Everything seemed to become more misty and dark, engulfed with gloom Stella could feel her hopes rise but her heart sink. "Uh, sis?" she asked turning her head fully to look at them. But they were gone. "Ata? Atie?" She called out stopping in mid air, beating her wings to stay a drift. Darkness seemed to consume the lands around her now.
