The Deceiver.
Chapter 1
"These creatures... they are so distrusting to strangers. Understandable however due to Verrous being a stranger who gained their trust so easily and betrayed them so easily... I cannot blame them, he is a persuasive and flattering being who did take my soul which I have easily regained once he decided to visit "His" realm. I made him fall to sleep and I made him think of the worst nightmares he could have, threatening to keep him in eternal sleep if he did not return it. Without hesitation the little wretch returned it to me and left.
Ignorantly, he told me of his plans the way until the end before recovering my soul. Whether I should tell the other beings of his checkmate or not is being decided, I do wish to see how this will all turn out however.
Furthermore, neither of the beings I have encountered I can call a "friend." Monsoon and Eclipse however do seem to be the wisest of the bunch of mice. Enoki and Geo however... They are an odd case. Head-strong but plain and simply dumb.. I told them to meet me so we can discuss of Verrous' downfall but they begin to attack me the first chance they get because they saw me as a threat. Hehe.. if I wished to seem threatening, I would have engulfed all of their realms in my haze.
I believe that is all I shall think about. I am getting tired just thinking of all this. I shall stop thinking and begin dreaming..."
Part 2
"Their expedition is pointless. They believe they can reclaim a realm that is already corrupted by his vile magic and populated by oblitus. No matter what I say, they will not see my reasoning. I do not wish for them to die. Devorantem.. Ignorant. He has made his weakness fully clear but they do not see it. It is as clear as Verrous' little necklace phylactery.. Hrm.. perhaps I should tell them his weakness. Will I? Maybe. I wish to see how this will all play out. I shall continue my ramblings later on.. I wish to sleep for now."
"My rest was satisfying.. Back to my idle thoughts I suppose. Devorantem.. you are surely a disappointment to the domus.. My faith in the beings of these realms were low, but now they are high. Devorantem.. Vobis infirmi... Tui domum, contritum... Non amplius opus domus tua..."
Part 3
"To no surprise, he was displeased when I approached his domain. He asked what could possibly bring me to see him before the plan bore fruit. I told him he was being negligent by letting them retreat and live to tell tale of their first encounter. In return, he has told me my own excuse; 'A game is no fun when you can win so easily'. So, I made the game harder for him. I took what power I put in his vessel and left him at a fraction of his power. He was enraged, of course, as foreseen, and I knew he would have told the others of my involvement so I have taken away his liberty to speak common tongue. I do not take in negligent and idiotic members under my fold..."
"I have luckily made my disappearance just in time as the others arrived at Devorantem's spire as I made the 'game' harder for him. I did not expect them to come so soon and try their second attempt at destroying Devorantem... He has spoken my name.. that will cause suspicion. I will make a story as to why my name was spoken. For now, I must see Verrous. Hopefully he will not be as idiotic as Devorantem. He has done well so far to hide himself..."
Part 4
"I have finally thought of a plan to rid of the hound.. He has made matters worse by socializing with the new creatures. He may think I have given Monsoon his fake phylactery but I have indeed given his real phylactery in plan of fallout that he has gone too wild for me to control; which he has. I have called for him numerous times and he was always socializing with the creatures of the realm against my decision. Not it is time for him to know my wrath.
I shall command him to socialize with the creatures of the realm once more, but I will make sure it is when those he has angered are present. He will gloat that he cannot die, but the others and I shall prove that wrong once and for all. Once his death is complete, I can talk with the others about the future plans..."
Part 5
"Monsoon has finally put the last piece of the puzzle together because of Verrous.. A shame I cannot control peoples stupidity else Verrous would not be dead as he is now. I am still unsure if Monsoon has spread word that I am the culprit behind everything but I assume he has told many of the creatures I am. It is no matter. I now control the League of Mists, for what it is worth, and have a legion at my disposal.
It is quite an interesting story as to how I dethroned the previous ruler of the league. I had simply waltzed into the locale and demanded to speak with the leader. Revealing himself I told him to step down from his position or he shall meet the same fate as the others before me have. He knew I meant death and simply laughed at me with his lackeys. I took no harm in his words and simply evaporated from thin air as this current form is a conjuration. it was only moments before I stormed towards the crowed in my true form and crushed the tyrant under my claw. Some of the creatures were shocked while some took no surprise to his death. I claimed I was now their ruler and they all bowed to me. Honestly, it was no effort to take the throne. Now my true form resides in the throne room.
Aside from taking control of the league, there has been benefits in doing so. I have a disposal of creatures to torment the others with and some are quite.. astonishing to say the least. Some of these creatures I have never heard of before. A Shadone. Quite an interesting race. I have met one who has caught my eye; Tenebrae. He has shown signs of knowledge, power and ferocity. He is able to morph with any inanimate object around him and hide in it for as long as he wishes to. An interesting power indeed... Hrmh, this will be the end of my thoughts. I must go see Tenebrae and the others to plot some ideas..."
Part 6
"It seems there are many more than just myself and the 'league' that wish to conquer the realms. I have met this dragon, Maggie, she calls herself, who seems to be... an interesting creature of sorts. She has a unique power though nothing out of the sorts. She is more offensive than defensive so I shall keep her at my side for a good while to see how she does with the creatures of the realm.. Whether she shall be a failure like Verrous is to be determined..
Apart from the new member, one of the court members has given me a bright idea of what to do with our eager-to-prove Tenebrae.. He wishes to prove himself to be like his father, so be it. I have sent him on a task to win over the hearts of the creatures and to let him into their fold. Once he is close enough to their hearts.. he will rip them out. He seems like an innocent sort, but those who are experienced with shadones will most likely know of his alignment with 'the league'. Though.. his appearance can win over the hearts of those who are trusting to young creatures. His age and looks seem to bode the 'innocent' style..
Now, the family.. So far I do not doubt taking over leadership of 'the league' as this family does have ists use. They all wish to conquer the realms as I do and will do anything they must as I do... I am sorry, Devorantem.. You may have been my brother, but you were foolish to toy with them.. Sorry-not-sorry as I did take some of your power..."
Part 7
"The past few days have been... interesting. I have learned about the creatures known as 'Kelpies', the First Realm is no quieter than the others as I was interrupted as I was resting, and that she loves me... 'Love' is a conflicting word... It is a strength and a weakness at the same time. Love will distract you from everything and anything and my goal cannot be second-in-place.. Love will strengthen you when you are weak and hopeless, when you are clouded by darkness.
Love is something I told myself I would never need, yet the warmth of it allures me; intrigues me...
I must speak to her about this. She must know my goal is to be first overall and that our 'love' is second. She must understand that I cannot weaken myself with love. That I cannot distract myself from reaching god-hood.
Love truly is confusing..."
Part 8
"Today is the day I show those wretches what I am capable of... It has been too long since I have finished something myself and it has been too many times those who worked by my side have failed and died. They will know pain. They will know my wrath. They will know misery. They will feel pain. There is no escaping my clutches tonight. I will have their bones crush within my grasp and I will take all their magic.
Enoki believes he can save the Hikari clan.. Ignorance at its finest. Truely two objectives in one task. I eradicate a village that is against my legion and I exterminate the pests that call themselves so-called protectors of the realms.. For too long have they halted my ascension. But that is no more...
Monsoon. I expect you not to be there.. I have crushed your mentality enough for you to stay in that little hut of yours for the remainder of your life... Geo, I have not seen sign of that little urchin in weeks, he has most likely run off in fear of dying.. Eclipse, I expect her to not be here as well. She has ran off to elsewhere to avoid the conflict I brought upon this realm and its people.. Enoki, Oh Enoki.. You were wise to not fall under my command but you were not wise to unleash me upon the Hikari clan. I do feel quite ashamed of myself that I am about to exterminate the only creature who can have a social conversation with me and yet still serve me tea and biscuits...
As for Tenebrae's task. He has done well so far. He has killed one of the creatures. The one who has bothered me and insulted me; Chamele. He presented me her body and so has proved some usefulness. I shall let him socialize with the creatures once more, allow him to get close to them, then when I need one of them under a grave, I will send a task to him.
An odd creature he is... He does all this because he cannot disappoint his family. He does all this because that is their family vow. They do everything I say without question and he oh-so coincidentally wished to prove his worth. The youngest of the family.. I shall take advantage of this..."
Part 9
"Today is the day of reckoning... I see them preparing their defenses and battalions of creatures. In the distance I see many of the creatures I have caused troubles. Enoki, obviously the green Dryphon is here. Here to try and defend his homeland but he is only another casualty in this war. I see the little creature named Gale. I should not underestimate him but... I shall not worry about him. I see him doing no harm to me. Lady Asha. The elegant lady of the Hikari. I have no worries of her. She does not seem like she can harm a fly.. The most surprising visit of all... Monsoon. It seems I did not break him enough for him to ignore this war. I will be sure to send him back to his icy hut or down under inside a coffin.
I have spent enough time watching them prepare their useless defenses and reinforcements. I shall make my appearance now and end this futile resistance..."
Part 10
"Those wretches..." He spoke to himself in his hive lair. His voice broken. Something was missing from him... One could easily tell by hearing him speak. It was his sanity... "They only delayed the inevitable! That fight was nothing more than a test! They may celebrate! They may think they have won but I am the one who has truly won the war. They know not my true intentions of that invasion." Shuffling in his pit, he looked to the bones that decorated the floor of this throne room. His gaze fixated on finding a skull. He would indeed find one and place one of his claws inside the skull and raise it in front of his eyes.
"So many of you. Dissapointments..." He said as he brought another claw to the skull, slowly applying pressure to it between his two claws until it shattered into pieces and shards. "So many of you doubting my ideals and plans... BLASPHEMY!" Ordealis roared loudly. Instantly, Ordealis swiped his arm against the bones that populated the floor, sending all the remains scattering to one side of the room. Skulls, bones, ribs and everything of the sorts shattered as they impacted against the wall. "My word shall be law... My word is law... Those who do not follow in my wake will suffer the same fate as those who have denied me my right to god-hood.."
The black dragon's gaze traveled among the remains of the many members of his family; the many bones that populated the room. "I thought I could trust you all... It seems not!" He balled a claw into a fist and brought it downwards to smash against the bones once more. "Liars! So many of you doubted my powers! So many of you scoffed at me once I returned! Now look at you all! Now I am the one laughing!"
Chapter 2 :
Part 1
Moments after the fight at the Second Realm, Ordealis woke himself abruptly from his 'dream'. His eyes shot wide with fury and he unleashed his rage by crashing his claw through one the pillars that supported the castle, sending a rumble through the castle as one of the main supports was destroyed. Bits of stone sent throughout the throne room floor as Ordealis released some anger. He decided to recollect himself and ponder what he has seen.
"I visited the second realm to gather magic from the realm; to heal myself. I was then encountered by my old love... She told me that I should not worry about the loss. I told her to repeat herself, and she repeated to me that it was a loss... IT WAS NOT A LOSS! I casted that wench out from my embrace as even I could not find truth nor comfort in her words... The ignorance! I told her I would sacrifice her life if it meant reaching god-hood and that is when she left my side, but not before hurting me.
"At that moment I met a creature who wished to consider itself an ally to me for shelter... Another one like Chaniboo wishing to prove himself. He will simply be another creature to use as my pawn. It was at that moment I heard a familiar voice... The Kelpie. I proceeded to attack the creature and was met with resistance by it and Maggie as she began to use her explosive gas on me. It had no affect as it wasn't my true form and simply a conjuration. I managed to hit the kelpie once more before ridding of the conjuration; ending my dream."
His melted, metallic tail whipped across the room willfully as Ordealis rested on a small mountain of bones. His tail knocked over standing armors and other decors as he carelessly flicked it around while deep in thought. "Yes... Yes... That is a good idea..."
